Cydia Impactor Errors and Fixes [How To Tutorial]
This error occurs mostly in Windows OS, reported by a user while he tired to install Phoenix 9.3.5 jailbreak via Cydia Impactor. To fix it out, turn off your auto screen off option while installation, then revoke certificates if any and delete Apple id also. Try then installing the IPA file again. If this method does not work for you, try changing your wifi network after revoking the certificates.
Note*: If none of the methods works for you and you urgently need to jailbreak your device using Phoenix jailbreak we request you to use 3uTools which do the same as that of Cydia Impactor and keep in mind that Phoenix jailbreak is for 32 bit devices.
Try to delete Apple ID from the revoke menu in the Cydia Impactor and install it again. If that does not work for you, try get Cydia Impactor worked on Linux, cpp:42 will not occur in Linux OS as of now, If you having either Windows or Mac OS you can try dual boot Linux via any Virtual Box facility.
If the same error comes with the tag “Failed to find matching arch for FAT input file” possibly on iOS 11 installed apple devices is because FAT Binary will not be supported on iOS 11 since it is 64 bit, FAT input files are 32 bit. Hope Saurik will come with an update for Cydia Impactor soon for this.
- provision.cpp: 168
If you have been got this error while installing apps, initially you need to try it again after revoking the certificate option from “Xcode” menu in Cydia Impactor.
If the above method fails, you might have set 2-factor authentication for your Apple ID. In those cases you have to use Apple specific password instead of your original one. You can set it up from here at appleid.apple.com
In some cases both the above methods mentions might fail, then we request you try “Install Package” option in Cydia Impactor instead of Drag and Drop method of files. We have provided a screen shot below.
